Tackling Task 3

Something, something another task ... The word of the week is Treehouse!

Task 3 [Weeks 6, 7 & 8]

Concept Art: Create a model sheet for a Treehouse; using a style, location and context of your choosing. Present texture reference and ensure enough information is evident for a modeller, they will need it…

This one is going to be a challenge, I don't really create backgrounds when I draw because I mainly focus on the character more, and I also don't really draw buildings ... this task is going to be the most complicated for me because I'm going to have to get better with my perspective and whatnot.

My first thought with this is to create something that looks normal but has a darker side ... I'm still riding off of Halloween (13 days later) so I think I'd like to maybe theme my treehouse around the occult! This would be quite atmospheric if I can get the night colour right! So I'm thinking Satanic Treehouse where all the cool kids who are just venturing into the world of Goth would go to do their first Ouija board and scare each other!

Something like this would be awesome, with candles and string lights! Creeeeepy! Here is a collection of treehouses I have gathered to get my creative juices flowing.

I really love the crazy treehouses that are multi levelled or an odd shape, I'm not sure I want to go that elaborate, the overgrown ones would be perfect , that would add a little bit of depth to the treehouse and make it feel a bit abandoned!
